One Microsoft: From Fargo to Dublin

Microsoft truly embraces a global mindset across our Inside Sales teams, working collaboratively together to achieve more as “One Microsoft”. In March I had the pleasure of working with our UK Azure Demand Response team while on holidays visiting family in Dublin, Ireland. Inside Sales gave me the opportunity to experience our Microsoft EU Headquarters and work alongside sellers supporting different markets, sharing ideas and best practices.
Embracing a multicultural team
One Microsoft Place in Dublin truly embodied a multicultural team supporting our EMEA market, I was taken away by the different countries, languages, and cultures represented at our Inside Sales Center in Dublin. Turning the corner and hearing a different language was new to me and gave me a new perspective on Microsoft’s global mindset. The center felt like a place that truly embraced diversity and was inclusive to all. The UK Azure Demand Response team welcomed me as family and a part of their team from the minute I met them. The team and center as a whole was buzzing with energy and curiosity.
Fostering a growth mindset
My experience working with the UK Azure Demand Response team fostered a culture of growth mindset. As an Azure Sales Development Specialist for our North America Demand Response team, I was fortunate to work with my peers across the pond and share best practices, ideas, and processes. This experience allowed both teams to take away key learnings to put into practice, and I learned from their sellers techniques and a mindset that I brought back to our Fargo center. I was so impressed with the team’s thirst to learn about our Fargo center as they welcomed feedback and new ways of serving our customers. Together we collaborated and embraced Microsoft’s growth mindset.
Enhancing collaboration for the future
As our global Inside Sales team continues to expand, collaboration is vital for the success of our centers and sellers worldwide. Working together as One Microsoft will bring us closer as an organization and allow us to better serve our customers. This opportunity also brought cross team selling opportunities and a greater sense of community. I truly took away a sense of empowerment and energy from my trip, excited to work towards Microsoft’s commitment to a global growth mindset culture.
